On Monday December 10, the Education for Girls
Initiative-EGI will join the rest of the world and alongside with many other
institutions, organizations, traditional councils, and individuals to stand up
for every person’s rights, we'll encourage policy makers and key stakeholders
to #seeourRIGHTS and protect them, as well as remember those persons who lost
their lives in fighting for the rights that we enjoy today". The UN
General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which outlines
30 basic rights of every person regardless of status, culture or religion.
Human rights are vital proponents to promoting sustainable development and are
also indispensable to building peaceful and inclusive societies. #seeourRIGHTS

Happy International Peace Day
Perhaps there are those who are able to go about their lives
unfettered by such concerns. But for
those like us, our fate is to face the
world and solve some of it greatest challenges. After emerging from more
than 14 years of conflict followed by the devastating impacts of the Ebola
Virus Disease (EVD), we think Liberia deserves more in terms of revamping every
sector of the economy. Many believe that the only ways to improve these
situations are by means of help from International
Donors and Government. In
looking at these prevailing situations, the Education for Girls Initiative has
decided to take on initiatives that will help buttress government effort. As part of our many youth led
activities, we today organized an International Peace Day Meet-Up under the Theme:
The Right to Peace, The Universal Declaration of Human Rights at 70. We believe
that we can be a role model for Change in our respective communities; we don’t
necessarily need all the answers to be a change agent, we just need the courage
to make it happen. We would also love to
use this medium to extend our thanks and appreciation to the Liberian women who
by their effort and courage fashioned out the August 18, 2003 Peace agreement
in Accra. We look forward for the best.

LET'S HELP IMPACT LIVES...CREATE A SPACE OF GIVING TO THE LESS FORTUNATE, IT'S NOT ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY OR HOW RICH YOU ARE, JUST ABOUT GIVING BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY AND HELPING TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE FOR ALL. NO ONE CHOOSES TO LIVE WITHOUT PARENTS, NO ONE WOULD EVER LOVE TO, IMAGINE YOU IN THE SHOES OF THOSE CHILDREN, HOW MUCH PAIN AND DEPRESSION IT’S. LET’S HELP THE ORPHANS WITH WHAT EVER WE CAN SO THAT THEY TOO CAN FEEL PART OF THE WORLD.
MANY THANKS TO PASTOR RICHARD SMITH OF FAITH ASSEMBLY IN PHILADELPHIA UNITED STATES AND ALL OTHER PARTNERS THAT HELPED IN MAKING THIS EVENT WONDERFUL. WE ARE FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY'S.
